Statement of Beliefs
The Scriptures: The Bible is God's inerrant Word, inspired by the Holy Spirit and written through holy men of God (2 Peter 1:21).
God/The Trinity: There is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 42:8, James 2:19). God is triune, comprising of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14).
Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ, who was fully human and fully divine, was born to a virgin (Luke 1:35). He sacrificed Himself on the cross to atone for all sins, past, present, and future. He was buried and rose again on the third day, offering redemption to all who believe in His sacrifice on the cross (Romans 5:8-9, 1 Peter 2:24).
Salvation: The sinner who trusts in Christ’s substitutionary death on the cross is saved from hell and freed from the penalty of his sin, declared righteous before God, given eternal life, and adopted into the family of God. Salvation is 100% by God’s grace, by faith alone, in Christ alone. It is not by faith plus works such as baptism, keeping the 10 commandments, making Christ Lord of your life, asking Jesus into your heart, praying the sinner’s prayer, etc. (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9).
Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit indwells every believer from the moment they place their faith in Christ. He unites all believers into one body, the Church. The Holy Spirit indwells the believer and seals them until the day of redemption, providing them eternal security. He provides the power for the believer to overcome sin in their life as they yield to Him (Ephesians 1:13, 4:30).
Dispensationalism: Dispensationalism is a framework used to interpret the Bible. It identifies different periods of time, called dispensations, during which God's plan for humanity is revealed through His interactions with different groups of people. In the Old Testament, God dealt primarily with the Jewish people, and He continues to do so today and in the future, as He fulfills His promises to them. We live in the Dispensation of God's Grace (Ephesians 3:2, 3:9, Colossians 1:25).
Prophetic Events: The next event in the fulfillment of prophecy will be the coming of the Lord in the air to receive to Himself into heaven both His own who are alive and remain unto His coming and all who have died and have trusted Christ as their Savior. This event is called the Rapture (1 Thess 4:13-18, Titus 2:11-14). The following is the order of future events. The pretribulation rapture will occur before a 7-year tribulation on earth (Daniel 9:27, Rev 6;1-19:21), followed by a 1000-year rule of Christ on earth (Rev 20:1-3). The Great White Throne Judgment follows with unbelievers being sent to hell and believers entering the new heavens and new earth (Rev 20:11-15, 2 Peter 3:10, Rev 21-22).
